There’s going to be a murder in Benton! The Royal Players will present Agatha Christie’s iconic whodunit Murder on the Orient Express at The Royal Theatre this February, with performances running February 12-15 and 19-22. The stage adaptation by Ken Ludwig brings suspense, secrets, and sleuthing to Benton’s historic downtown theater.
Set aboard a luxurious train stranded in the snow, the gripping story unfolds as famed detective Hercule Poirot investigates the shocking murder of a passenger. With eight suspicious characters and a locked-door mystery, audiences can expect a thrilling evening of twists and intrigue.
The production is sponsored by Advanced Alarm Technologies and will run approximately two hours, including intermission. Evening shows begin at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (Feb. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21), while Sunday matinees (Feb. 15 and 22) start at 2 p.m. Doors open one hour before curtain, with seating available 15 to 20 minutes prior to showtime.
