Benton Parks and Recreation has announced the inaugural “Pickles for Pages” Pickleball Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026. This community event offers local players a chance to enjoy some friendly competition while supporting a major literacy initiative. Oh and they need refs! Read more below.
THE CAUSE
All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Saline County. The organization works to put books into the hands of young readers across the area by delivering free, high-quality, age-appropriate books straight to children’s homes every month.
WHEN/WHERE
The tournament will run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Riverside Park in Benton. Registration is open to players of all skill levels, ages 18 and up.

Organizers are also currently seeking experienced pickleball enthusiasts to volunteer as referees for the games. Registered referees will receive a complimentary referee t-shirt for their time.
