Pops on the River, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette will take place Friday, July 4, in downtown Little Rock in the River Market/First Security Bank Amphitheater. Read all the details below!
This event offers free family entertainment with a performance by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and a fireworks finale.
The festival, in its 41st year, begins at 5pm in the River Market area of downtown Little Rock. The gates open to the First Security Amphitheater for the other planned entertainment, including the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra concert.
“We’re proud to celebrate this holiday by offering a free event for the community,” said Amanda Copley, marketing and events director at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “The ASO will honor all branches of the military with a special salute during the concert. Each year, we take this time to recognize the service and sacrifice of military members and their families — we’re deeply grateful for all they do for our country.”
There will be free reserved seating for military members. All military are asked to check in with their military ID at the information booth when they arrive at the event. The booth is located in the River Market Pavilion.
Former Miss Arkansas Jessie Bennett and her daughter Miss Metro’s Teen Presley Bennett will serve as masters of ceremonies for Pops on the River, and Miss Arkansas 2025 Kennedy Holland will perform the national anthem.
Inside the gated area, Lost Forty will set up tents to sell Arkansas Margaritas, Raspberry Lemonade Punchy Hard Seltzer, Juicy Details Hazy IPA, 2nd Rodeo Light Lager and Love Honey Bock.
There will be children’s activities and games. Food trucks with traditional (and not so traditional) fair food will also be on sale.
Performing on stage will be Butterfly from NOLA, Nicky Parrish featuring the group Kemistri, followed by Rodney Block who will take the stage prior to the Symphony’s performance. Block will be giving away flags during his Second Line processional. Families are encouraged to join in.
Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:20-9:30 p.m. and are shot off the Main Street Bridge.
