Tax-Free Weekend is coming this August in Arkansas. This is two entire days to shop for certain items – in person or online – without having to pay sales taxes on those purchases.
The State of Arkansas sales tax holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025. It will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
Shoppers will be able to purchase certain items typically used for education. For example: Electronic Devices, School Supplies, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and Clothing will be free of state and local sales or use tax.
All retailers are required to participate, and they must not charge tax on items that are legally tax-exempt during the Sales Tax Holiday.

This includes all human wearing apparel suitable for general use. If it’s over $100, purchaser is responsible for tax on the full amount.
