Saline County Striders invites the public to 4th Annual Fall Walk/Run Clinic. It’s for beginners and seasoned runners. Oh and it’s free. Read more below and get the link to sign up.
All ages and abilities can benefit from this program. The first day is Tuesday, October 14th and it continues through November 18th. The location is the Bryant Junior High Track off South Reynolds Road and Hill Farm Road (near the Saline County Regional Airport).
The program is designed to help people of all ages and activity levels get moving, build confidence, and enjoy the benefits of walking and running in a supportive group setting.
Participants will train together each week, gradually building endurance and setting personal goals — whether that’s walking a mile comfortably, jogging without stopping, or preparing for a 5K.
After all that training, celebrate your progress by participating in the Striders’ annual Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
“This clinic is truly for everyone,” said Laura Babbitt, one of the Clinic Directors. “Whether you’ve never walked or run before, or you’re looking to get back into a routine, you’ll find encouragement, accountability, and community here. We love seeing first-timers surprise themselves with what they can achieve in just six weeks.”
