I get a lot of questions. I sometimes know the answer and I sometimes don’t. You’re welcome to ask me anything by emailing [email protected]. —Shelli Poole
This time it wasn’t exactly a direct question, but someone made a complaint about the condition of a road that is in the County’s jurisdiction. It was apparent that the commenter wasn’t sure who to contact to try to make things better for his community. See the full comment here: mysaline.com/sardis-sale-100816/#comment-19306.

• Saline County Quorum Court meetings are 3rd Mondays at 630pm, at the Saline County Courthouse, in the courtroom upstairs. If there’s a holiday on that Monday, then it’s the next Tuesday, at the same time/place.

I find conflicting information on this site. The “Ask Shelli” instructions for getting road maintenance led me to finding my JP (I moved about a year ago.) and indicated the Quorum Courts meets on a Wednesday. I don’t know if I could backtrack to the information or not. However, the blog on the Jan 16th meeting states they meet “The normal meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday of the month,” Just wanted to point this out.
If the road is a Saline County road , they need to call the Saline County Road Dept. at (501) 303-5690. Monday thru Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and report it. The Road Dept. is closed on Friday’s.
A work order will be opened, will be investigated, and determined what needs to be done.
