On June 2, 2023, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force arrested a Benton man on charges of possession of CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) images and videos. Michael P. Vining, age 59 was taken into custody at his residence without incident.
After an on-site preview was conducted of one of Vining’s electronic storage devices at his residence, he was also charged with Voyeurism (5-16-102, Class D Felony). Vining has been the suspect in an ongoing investigation involving the possession of child pornography through an online service provider.
In addition to the Voyeurism charge, Vining was also charged with 100 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child (5-27-602, Class C Felony).
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office ICAC Task Force is dedicated to combating child exploitation by relentlessly pursuing individuals who use the internet and technology to exploit children. We would also like to thank the Arkansas State Police for their assistance with this incident.
good job Benton PD and Arkansas state police. now if he don’t get out of jail in a couple of days and does gey sent away for the rest of his life then it will be a fantastic day! I get so tired of seeing all these child molesters and pervs getting out of jail and only getting a few years and outin only a few months only to be out there doing same thing or worse. I would love to see a section that follows these sort of criminals all the way through the judicial process. Thanks again for the great work of our law officers …hopefully they will be brought to justice so that your hard work won’t be in vain.
