Saline Health System welcomed the community to its Works of Heart art show on Feb. 26, celebrating American Heart Month while showcasing artwork created by local high school students.
The event, held in the hospital atrium, featured heart-themed artwork submitted by students in grades 9–12. Community members attended the free event and participated by voting for the People’s Choice Award, while other pieces were selected by judges and hospital leadership.

Each winning student received a $100 gift card, and their school received a $500 art supply grant. Saline Health System CEO Char Boulch presented the CEO’s Pick award and praised the students for sharing their creativity during American Heart Month.
The event highlights the connection between art, community, and health awareness, while giving local students an opportunity to express their perspectives through creative work.
The Works of Heart event is part of Saline Health System’s efforts to engage the community and raise awareness about heart health.
