There are 37 cases of COVID-19 at the Saline County Detention Center, the Sheriff’s Office announced in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
There was an inmate who introduced the virus to the facility. After staff was made aware, testing was conducted on all 186 inmates and detention staff.
The result was that the facility contained 34 inmates that tested positive for the virus. Three employees also tested positive. The statement noted that only one individual of those 37 had any symptoms.
The Sheriff’s Office started that they has been following all guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health and are taking all necessary measures to ensure proper treatment is being given to all involved.
Theres more than one inmate showing symptoms.
Funny how their statement made NO mention of how ALL inmates are now on day… idk… 7… SEVEN DAYS Of using the SAME DISPOSABLE MASK that they were handed the first day a case was found.
Funny how, if they’re THAT LOW on masks, they didnt bother to ask for the public’s help in acquiring new clean, disposable masks for each inmate so that MAYBE none of them develop OTHER issues from breathing in the SAME funk for days on end. Since they have to wear the masks 24/7, that is.
