FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas Athletics announced a new policy to comply with the Southeastern Conference’s updated field rushing rules, which now carry a $500,000 fine for each incident. Read more below.
Starting in 2025, after any Razorback football victory at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, a three-minute delay will be shown on the videoboards before fans are allowed to rush the field. The pause is intended to give visiting teams, staff, and officials time to exit safely.
Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said the measure balances fan celebrations with safety. “By implementing this new policy we are allowing the visiting team to clear the field so our fans can safely join our team on the field to celebrate the big win,” Yurachek said.
The Razorbacks kick off Head Coach Sam Pittman’s sixth season on August 30.
The home schedule includes:
Aug. 30 – Alabama A&M.
Sept. 27 – Notre Dame
Oct. 18 – Texas A&M
Oct. 25 – Auburn
Nov. 1 – Mississippi State
Nov. 29 – Battle Line Rivalry against Missouri
