Benton’s River Center is bracing for a tangy takeover, as Picklepalooza rolls into Benton on Saturday, May 31st. It’s an all-day celebration of community, competition, and crunchy goodness—all to benefit Arkansas’s first responders. Read more below.
This year’s event, titled “Serve It Up for Our Heroes,” will feature a Pickleball Tournament and a Pickle Tasting Contest, bringing together athletes, culinary creatives, and local supporters for a spirited cause. The day kicks off with an 8:00 a.m. team check-in, followed by round-robin pickleball matches starting at 9:00 a.m. Culinary contenders will enter the spotlight at 11:00 a.m. when the Pickle Challenge begins, with judging to follow at 1:00 p.m.
Schedule:
8AM – Teams arrive.
9AM – First Pickleball match starts.
11AM – Pickle Challenge begins.
1PM – Judging begins.
4PM – Announce winners of Pickle Challenge, Pickle Tournament and 50-50 raffle winners.
Admission is free for spectators, and registration is open for players and vendors. Teams can register for $70 per team (or $35 per student team), while vendor booths are also available for $70. Attendees can also look forward to a 50/50 raffle and sampling creative pickle recipes judged on taste, texture, appearance, and creativity.
The day’s festivities will culminate at 4:00 p.m. with the announcement of winners in both the Pickleball and Pickle Challenge events, as well as the raffle drawing.
