All candidate announcements are their own words.
My name is Lonny Payne, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Justice of the Peace, District 8.
I was born in Columbia, Missouri, and have proudly called Saline County home for nearly 40 years. I’m a Bryant High School graduate and hold a bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University. For more than 35 years, I’ve worked in the aviation industry, and I currently serve as a commercial airline pilot.
My wife, Holly Payne, serves as Saline County Treasurer, and her passion for serving others has inspired me to get more involved in our community. Together, we are proud to raise our family here and to be active members of New Life Baptist Church of Benton.
I also want to thank my predecessor for his dedication and service to our district. If elected, I will continue building on that foundation—being a strong, steady, and reliable voice for the people of District 8.
As your Justice of the Peace, I will focus on:
- Transparency in local government
- Growth and opportunity for Saline County
- Commitment to excellence in serving our community
- Upholding trustworthiness, honesty, and dependability
- Respect for fellow JPs, elected officials, and all constituents
I believe in doing this job with integrity and accountability, always putting the people of Saline County first. Together, we can keep Saline County a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
I would be honored to earn your support and your vote.
Please vote for Lonny Payne, Justice of the Peace, District 8
