Hey, Let’s Play! is a vibrant kids’ indoor playspace and coffee café where families come to play, connect, and celebrate life’s biggest little moments. From everyday play to birthday parties with balloon garlands, to cozy lattes for parents, our space is designed to bring joy to kids and ease to parents. We’re looking for a General Manager who is organized, tech-savvy, people-focused, and ready to lead our team in delivering an exceptional guest experience every single day.
Position Overview
The General Manager oversees the daily business operations of Hey, Let’s Play!—including the playspace, coffee café, birthday parties, and administrative duties. This role balances hands-on work with big-picture thinking. You’ll manage and motivate staff, maintain operational standards, keep finances and inventory in check, and ensure every family’s visit feels magical.
Key Responsibilities…
Playspace Operations
- Maintain a fun, welcoming, and top-notch atmosphere where customers are our #1 priority
- Oversee cleanliness, safety, and organization of the play environment
- Participate in ongoing cleaning and sanitation procedures
Coffee Café
- Prepare coffees in a fast-paced environment
- Oversee coffee operations and uphold beverage quality standards
- Monitor inventory and ordering
- Ensure café is clean, stocked, and inviting
Birthday Parties & Events
- Manage scheduling, planning, and execution of parties
- Ensure décor (including balloon garlands and themed setups) meets Hey, Let’s Play! standards
- Train and support party staff to create seamless, memorable celebrations
Team Leadership
- Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and problem-solving
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff
- Foster a team culture of fun, accountability, and great guest service
Administration
- Manage with an improvement mindset
- Handle team scheduling
- Oversee cash handling and bank deposits
Qualifications
- Previous management experience in childcare, food service, or hospitality required
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communicator with a guest-first mindset
- Comfortable multitasking in a lively, kid-filled environment
- Proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, and digital communication
- Creative eye for detail (especially for party décor and setup)
- Flexible schedule, with weekends required
