As summer temperatures climb, volunteers continue to work outdoors to build safe and affordable housing across the county. Proper hydration is a critical factor in protecting these volunteers from heat-related illnesses and keeping building projects on schedule.
Michelle Campbell, the development director for Habitat for Humanity of Saline County, stated that donating bottled water or Gatorade is one of the simplest and most direct ways for the community to support their home-building mission. These small contributions help ensure that teams stay hydrated, healthy, and physically prepared to handle the demands of the construction sites.
Supporters can donate through the Habitat Saline County Website, or drop off physical donations of bottled water or Gatorade at the organization’s office, located at 404 W. Walnut Street, Benton, AR 72015.
For individuals who cannot drop off physical supplies but still want to assist, financial contributions can be made directly through the Habitat for Humanity website. Online monetary gifts will be used by the organization to purchase hydration supplies and other essential items for the active volunteer teams.
