It’s been common knowledge for months that the old Gino’s Sports Grill wasn’t going to reopen and has been up for sale. It hasn’t hosted customers since the end of 2021, and has had issues since the Spring of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Demolition began today, and at this point, it sort of looks like the pandemic hit the Gino’s building itself. Genty Aerial Photography was able to get a few still shots from the sky as it happened.
The Saline County Assessor’s records show this property was sold on June 24, 2022 for $656,928. Annnd… I wish I could share more information with you right now about what’s coming next for this property, but we’ll have to wait to tell you on an upcoming date. Meanwhile, speak up in the comments about your memories of this restaurant and the ones that came before it in this spot. I personally remember when my brother worked as a delivery boy for a Sergio’s Pizza in the late 1980s when Serge Krikorian ran it. Here are more before pictures (by Shelli Poole) and after pictures (by Genty Aerial Photography).

I have seen some new construction in the area, looks like a small fast food restaurant of some sort just unsure of what it is. Any ideas Ms. Poole?

Any news what is going in this location?
Jason says
When they first opened, food was good and environment was clean and pleasant. In more recent years, food was nasty and the building was run down and filthy. Was elated to see it close and delighted to see that building destroyed. Good riddance!
Tony Newboles says
Hosted karaoke and other parties there for 10 years. Had some wonderful times and met some great people. Jan 1 was a tough day. Yesterday was sad seeing it go away for good.
Brittany says
Ima miss this place. It’s where I gained my confidence to sing on stage in front of people. Use to go every wed night
Barbara says
I’m heartbroken. I have made so many friendships from karaoke on the patio with Music Pro, and Tony Newboyles Jr.
Wendell says
Remembering the Chinese place that was there
Zana says
We moved here in 2019. So no memories of this place except that it was looking rundown. Now if the lot next to it was cleaned up. The area for the event center would look more welcoming.
