The Bryant Community Engagement Committee is preparing for a busy second half of the year, with discussions scheduled for upcoming city festivals, a proposed Spanish-language town hall, and the Bryant Leap Forward initiative. The committee will meet to finalize these plans on July 20, 2026, at the Boswell Municipal Complex. Read more below.
The meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room, located at 210 SW 3rd Street. Residents who cannot attend in person will be able to watch a live stream of the proceedings on the city’s official YouTube channel. According to the agenda, a key presentation will be an update on the “Bryant Leap Forward” project, delivered by Mayor Chris Treat.
A primary focus for the committee will be mapping out volunteer coverage and logistical details for numerous community events stretching into December. Among the new outreach efforts being considered is the possibility of hosting a Spanish-only town hall, which officials have suggested holding at Zeal Church. Officials are also seeking a new venue to host the upcoming Ward 1 meeting, which may be timed to coincide with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Parkway Drug in the fall.
The city’s active event calendar includes continuing the Bryant Summer Nights series, which has dates scheduled in July, August, and September. As autumn approaches, the committee will help coordinate the annual Fall Fest on October 10, as well as the Trunk or Treat Jamboree at Mills Park on October 29. Members also plan to set up community engagement areas at several Bryant High School football games in September and October.
Holiday event preparations are already on the docket as well. The committee will review early plans for the “It’s a Wonderful Bryant Tree and Trail Lighting” on December 3, followed by “Christmas at Market Place” on December 5.
