Bryant High School will highlight its performing arts programs, with two major events featuring student musicians and vocalists at the Fine Arts Center.
April 28th
The Bryant High School Bands will open the series with their annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. in Love Auditorium. This year’s performance will carry added significance as students commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States through a patriotic-themed program.
The concert will include a mix of traditional patriotic selections and modern pieces, performed by four ensembles: Campus Winds & Percussion, Concert Winds & Percussion, Symphonic Winds & Percussion, and the Wind Symphony.
Band Director Keith Matthews said the event reflects both the students’ dedication and the broader role of music in the community.
“This performance is a celebration of our students’ hard work throughout the year and an opportunity for the community to experience the power of music,” Matthews said. “We are especially excited to honor America’s 250th anniversary through this meaningful program.”
The concert is free and open to the public.
May 1st-2nd
Later in the week, the Bryant High School Choir will take the stage for its annual Spring Sing production, scheduled for May 1 and May 2 at 7 p.m., also in Love Auditorium.
This year’s show will feature a Broadway theme, tying into the choir’s upcoming trip to New York City, where students will perform at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choral Festival in June.
The production will include a variety of well-known show tunes and high-energy performances designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.
Head Choral Director Tanner Oglesby said the show offers a preview of the group’s upcoming national performance.
“This production highlights the incredible talent and dedication of our choir students,” Oglesby said. “We’re excited to share this Broadway-themed performance with our community as we prepare for our upcoming New York experience.”
Doors will open 30 minutes before each performance. Tickets are $5 and are available online.
School officials encourage community members to attend both events and support Bryant’s student performers as they close out the school year.
The location is Love Auditorium in the Bryant High School Fine Arts building. The address is 500698 Harris St, Bryant, AR 72022 (No, that number is not a typo – it’s 6 digits).
