The Bryant Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting on William Lane that left one man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest. Authorities have one suspect in custody and report there are no other suspects being sought at this time. Read more below.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a residence in the King’s Crossing neighborhood in Bryant at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026. First responders were initially instructed to stage nearby for safety precautions. After law enforcement advised that the scene appeared secure, medical personnel proceeded into the home to treat the victim.
According to the Bryant Police Department and emergency dispatch reports, a man was found shot in the chest. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. His current condition has not been released by authorities.
Police confirmed that one suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Investigators reported that they are not currently searching for any additional suspects and that the public is not in danger. The department stated that more information will be provided as the investigation continues.
