A SWAT callout in Bryant has ended in the fatal shooting of a suspect. Bryant Police Department released a statement on Tuesday morning about this fatal overnight incident.

On Monday, December 15, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Central Dispatch received a disturbance call regarding an incident in the 1100 block of SW 4th Street.
The male caller reported that he and his wife had an argument. The male stated to police that his wife fired two shots at him through a bedroom door. The caller was able to safely exit the residence and contact 911.
Bryant PD said in their release that the caller met with an investigator. They obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect. Officers then went to the home to take her into custody.
Back at the couple’s home, the woman wouldn’t come out to the officers. Officers called SWAT and they took over negotiations.
The statement: “After several hours, the suspect exited the front door with a handgun, then retreated back inside. Shortly after, the suspect reappeared outside, this time armed with a rifle equipped with a green dot laser. The suspect pointed the weapon at a SWAT vehicle and fired shots. SWAT members returned fire, resulting in the fatal shooting of the suspect and the end of the standoff.”
Police have not identified the suspect at the time of this article.
