The City is accepting resumes for Position 1 on the Commission. The term expires December 31, 2030. Applicants must reside inside the Benton city limits.

According to a statement from the City, “The Planning & Zoning Commission plays a vital role in guiding the growth of our community by ensuring that development is well-planned, professionally managed, and appropriately located within surrounding areas. Commissioners help shape the future of Benton by promoting orderly development and protecting the character of our City.”

Current Planning & Zoning Commissioners:

Appointed commissioners must complete a minimum of four hours of training, along with additional education consistent with the mission of the Commission. Commissioners receive $150 per month as compensation for attendance at the previous month’s meeting.
