The Bauxite Fire Department is inviting the community to celebrate a major milestone this September, marking 50 years of continuous service since its founding in 1976. A free public birthday celebration will be held on September 19, 2026, starting at 11 a.m. at the JT Peterson Fire Station. Read more below.
The golden anniversary event is open to everyone in the community and will feature a variety of family-friendly activities. Organizers have announced that attendees can enjoy complimentary food and drinks throughout the celebration. The event will also include live music and a bouncy house for children.
Operating out of the JT Peterson Fire Station at 5909 Bauxite Highway, the department has been an essential part of the Bauxite community for half a century.
All residents are welcome and encouraged to stop by the station to meet local firefighters, honor their decades of dedication, and participate in the day’s festivities.
