Arkansas State Police confiscated over 1,300 pounds of suspected illegal edible products during a traffic stop on Interstate 40. But the driver was released. Read more below.
Arkansas State Police (ASP) seized a large quantity of suspected illegal edible products during a weekend traffic stop along Interstate 40.
According to officials, a state trooper conducted the stop around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, near the 2-mile marker in Crawford County.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers discovered approximately 650 pounds of mushroom-based edible gummies along with 718 pounds of THC-infused gummies, totaling more than 1,300 pounds of suspected illegal products.
The driver told investigators he was traveling from California to Georgia at the time of the stop.
Authorities say the individual was interviewed and released pending further investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
ASP has not released additional details as the case remains under investigation.
