Strong to severe thunderstorms expected on Sunday

Scattered thunderstorms are expected Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, as activity across Oklahoma this morning moves southeast across portions of Arkansas.

Some thunderstorms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds and marginally severe hail (around or less than 1” diameter) possible with the strongest storms.

There may be locally heavy rainfall also, with some isolated flash flooding possible. This is more likely over southwest sections where rainfall amounts of more near 2 inches are possible through tonight.
