Watch for ARDOT to have a few exit ramps on Interstate 30 closed temporarily. Crews will be adjusting the barrier walls. Read more below.
The closures on exit ramps will be intermittent and will begin at 9 p.m. Thursday, September 4, and will finish 6 a.m. Friday, September 5, according to a release from ARDOT.
Weather permitting, overnight ramp work will require alternating, temporary closures of several exit ramps along I-30. The work will begin on the eastbound side of I-30, with each exit ramp closed for approximately one hour. Once all eastbound ramps are completed, crews will proceed to the westbound side.
No two ramps will be closed at the same time. Signage will be posted in advance of each closure. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate ramps during the closures.
Which Ramps?
• Eastbound Exit 111 – Highway 70 west
• Eastbound Exit 114 – Highway 67 / Highway 229
• Eastbound Exit 116 – Sevier Street / South Street
• Westbound Exit 114 – Highway 67 / Highway 229
Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
