ARDOT will need to close a section of Arkansas Highway 229 from March 27-28. Read more below.
Weather permitting, the closure will allow contractors working on the new Buc-ee’s Travel Center to install drainage crossings at the planned location.
A signed detour will be in place. To reach the north side of the closure, traffic will take I-30 east to Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street) to Highway 229. To reach the south side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 229 to I-30 west to Exit 114 (Highway 67/Highway 229) to Highway 229.
Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
