The Arkansas State Highway Commission will meet Wednesday, April 1st, for its regular monthly meeting at the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s Central Office. The meeting is set for 10 a.m. in the auditorium at ARDOT headquarters, 10324 Interstate 30 in Little Rock. The meeting is open to the public.
Commissioners are expected to approve minutes from the Feb. 11 meeting and consider routine minute orders before turning to a series of departmental updates. Those reports will include the state highway financial outlook, legislative developments at both the state and federal levels, and recommendations from ongoing efficiency reviews. Officials will also provide updates on construction and maintenance activities across Arkansas, recent agency operations, and upcoming bid lettings.
Among the action items on the agenda is the selection of consultants for on-call bridge inspection services. The commission will also hear a presentation from ARDOT’s Materials Division as part of its “Around the Department” segment.
In addition, commissioners will review upcoming events and discuss other business as needed.
Separate from the meeting, ARDOT has scheduled construction bid lettings for April 8 and May 20, with sessions planned for 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on both dates.
