Freedom 250 Mobile Museum making its only Arkansas stop at Benton River Center Oct. 17-19

The City of Benton will host the nation’s Freedom 250 Mobile Museum for its only scheduled stop in the State of Arkansas from Saturday, Oct. 17, through Monday, Oct. 19, 2026.
The free, interactive exhibit celebrating 250 years of American history will be open daily in the parking lot of the River Center at 1800 Citizens Way Drive. Read more below.
The state-of-the-art exhibit on wheels—part of a nationwide fleet of custom “Freedom Trucks”—features multimedia displays, historic artifacts, and hands-on activities designed for visitors of all ages. Inside the mobile museum, guests can learn about key historical figures, attempt to crack a code from George Washington’s spy ring, and electronically sign their names to the Declaration of Independence.
Operating hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from Saturday through Monday. Admission is completely free to the public.
City officials noted that while the national 250th anniversary milestone occurred on July 4, 2026, semi-quincentennial commemorations are continuing throughout the year across the United States. Benton’s three-day engagement represents the sole location in Arkansas hosting the mobile museum tour.
The traveling exhibition is commissioned by Freedom 250, a national non-partisan organization leading celebrations for America’s 250th birthday, in collaboration with Hillsdale College and PragerU.
