The EMpact One Foundation is making a splash this Thursday, September 24, as Dunk 4 Donations returns to Riverside Grocery in Benton from 3:00–7:30 p.m.

Nine local community members have agreed to take a turn in the dunk tank to raise money for EMpact One’s programs that help remove financial barriers between kids and the sports and extracurricular activities they love.
Each dunker has been challenged to raise $1,000 — with a pretty strong incentive to rally their friends, family and coworkers.
Any dunker who reaches the $1,000 goal can buy their way out of the tank and choose a tribute to take their place.
Those who don’t?
They may want to bring a towel.

And this year, Riverside Grocery is helping make things a little more interesting — and considerably colder.
During the event, supporters can purchase a $10 bag of ice to dump into the dunk tank, adding an extra incentive for each dunker’s supporters to get them to that $1,000 buyout goal.
Can’t make it to Riverside Thursday? You can still get in on the fun.
The EMpact One Foundation will be live streaming the action on Facebook, giving supporters a chance to watch the dunks and follow along throughout the afternoon and evening.
While Dunk 4 Donations is designed to be fun, the purpose behind the event is much bigger than a tank of cold water.
The EMpact One Foundation works to ensure financial circumstances don’t determine whether a child gets the opportunity to participate. Through its Tuition Assistance program, the Foundation helps families with the costs of sports and extracurricular activities, while the Mobile Sports Locker provides new and gently used sporting equipment to youth at no cost.
Fundraising events like Dunk 4 Donations provide dollars that help keep those programs going.
Sometimes helping a kid get onto the field, court, mat or into the activity they love doesn’t require one enormous donation. A community of people giving $10, $25 or $50 can make a significant difference.
And this week, those small donations might just save somebody from a dunk tank, too.
