City planners are scheduled to evaluate proposals for a 97-lot residential subdivision on Springhill Road, as well as a commercial development along Highway 5.
The Bryant Development and Review Committee (DRC) will host the meeting on Thursday to review both plat applications and provide recommendations for the local projects. Read more below.
The meeting is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, inside the City Hall Conference Room at the Boswell Municipal Complex, located at 210 SW 3rd Street in Bryant. DRC meetings are open to the public, and local residents are encouraged to attend. (Click any images to enlarge them.)
On agenda is the preliminary plat review for Springhill Crossing, a residential subdivision proposed by Conway-based developer Brock Custom Homes. Plans drawn up by Holloway Engineering, Surveying & Civil Design detail a 97-lot single-family housing community spread across 26.535 acres on Springhill Road.
The property is currently zoned for residential use with an average lot size of 0.166 acres. It also features 5.484 acres of common open space that is roughly 21% of the total parcel. The plan has already received approval from city planning staff.
The second item is a final plat recommendation for Lot 1 of the Elite District, situated at the intersection of Highway 5 and Henry Avenue. Represented by Zane Robbins of Robbins Professional Land Services, the applicant seeks a recommendation for a 1-lot subdivision on behalf of the property owner, PX2 Properties LLC of Benton.
The proposed 1.53-acre tract (66,643.80 square feet) is located at 8425 AR State Highway 5 N in Alexander. Civil survey filings show the property lies entirely in Zone X, meaning it sits in an area of minimal flood hazard.
Both development requests will undergo public review before the committee decides whether to advance them through the city’s formal approval pipeline.
