Despite the Benton location still appearing on the company’s website, multiple signs indicate that the Price Break discount store at 1426 Military Road has permanently closed just over a year after opening.  Read more below.

Local residents report the store selling off its equipment, and staff members confirmed to shoppers that Wednesday was their final day of business.

While an official reason for the closure remains unconfirmed, visual evidence at the store, along with social media changes point to a permanent shutdown. A recent look at the building revealed that the store’s signature bins had been moved to the back, rather than being staged for the Friday start of their sales week.

Shoppers noted the absence of official closing notices, but observed the store liquidating its assets, including shopping carts, bins, and cash registers. The location’s digital footprint has also begun to disappear. The official Facebook page for the Benton store has been deleted, and a community Facebook group titled “PRICE BREAK – Benton, Arkansas” was paused by an administrator on July 20, 2026.

Price Break, a bin-style discount retailer, celebrated its grand opening at the Military Plaza location on May 30, 2025. The company’s website currently continues to list the Benton site alongside its active Arkansas locations in Russellville, Fort Smith, and Hot Springs.
