The City of Benton is gearing up for the new academic year with a Glow Run and Back to School Bash scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, at the River Center.
The evening event will feature family-friendly activities and a fun run, with all proceeds benefiting the Benton Public Schools’ Bright Futures program. Read more below.
The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. at 1800 Citizens Drive with the Back to School Bash and check-in for the fun run.
Participants can enjoy music, a climbing wall, bounce houses, and various glow accessories before the main Glow Run officially begins at 8 p.m.
Registration for the fun run is currently open and costs $10 per participant. The sign-up window runs through Aug. 7, though organizers note that an event shirt is not guaranteed for those who register after July 26.
In addition to the run, the event will host a school supply drive. All collected items and race proceeds will go directly to support Benton Public Schools – Bright Futures, an initiative focused on fostering connections for student success.
