The historic Royal Theatre in Downtown Benton is preparing to transport audiences on a sweeping, romantic adventure across Europe as the Royal Players proudly present Anastasia: The Musical this June. Read more below.
Running from June 11th through June 21st, 2026, this enchanting production invites audiences into a world of mystery, romance, and hope. Inspired by the famous legend of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, the story follows a brave young woman named Anya as she sets out to discover the truth of her history. Her journey takes her from the twilight of the crumbling Russian Empire all the way to the vibrant, glittering streets of 1920s Paris.
This Broadway spectacular features a beloved, sweeping score that includes classic favorites like “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December.” Created by Tony Award-winning book writer Terrence McNally, composer Stephen Flaherty, and lyricist Lynn Ahrens, the musical is inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture and seamlessly adapted from Marcelle Maurette’s play alongside Guy Bolton’s stage adaptation.

The local production features a stellar creative team, directed by Jeremy Clay and choreographed by Jordyn Purtle, with musical direction handled by Heidi and Justin McCartney. The show is proudly sponsored by Stilwell Insurance and Financial Services, and Roberson and Associates.
Performances will take place over two weekends at the historic Royal Theatre located at 111 S. Market Street in Benton. The complete schedule is as follows:
- Evening Performances (7:00 PM): Thursday, June 11; Friday, June 12; Saturday, June 13; Wednesday, June 17; Thursday, June 18; and Friday, June 19.
- Matinee Performances (2:00 PM): Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, June 21.
The box office and lobby doors will open exactly one hour prior to performance showtimes. The dynamic runtime for the production is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, which includes one brief intermission.
This production utilizes assigned seating, so patrons are strongly encouraged to verify their exact seating selection before final checkout. Please note that all sales are final; the theatre cannot offer refunds, but tickets can be exchanged or transferred to another date or person if needed.

Prices are $20 for General Admission; $15 for seniors (60+), college students, and military members; and $10 for children and students (ages 3 through 12th grade). Additional online processing fees apply. Lap children ages 0-2 do not require a ticket.
- At-The-Door Box Office Tickets: Subject to availability, walk-up tickets are $22 for General Admission; $17 for seniors, college students, and military; and $12 for youth. Ticket availability is not guaranteed at the door, and purchasing online in advance is highly recommended.
