The EMpact One Foundation has been awarded a $5,000 Walmart Spark Good Grant from the Walmart store in Benton, providing vital support for the Foundation’s Tuition Assistance Program.
The grant will be used to help remove financial barriers that prevent children and youth from participating in sports and extracurricular activities. Through the Tuition Assistance Program, The EMpact One Foundation helps cover participation costs so young people can experience the physical, social, and emotional benefits of being involved in structured activities.
“Rising costs continue to make youth sports and enrichment programs out of reach for many families,” said Bekka Wilkerson, Executive Director of The EMpact One Foundation. “This investment from Walmart Benton will directly impact local youth by ensuring that financial hardship does not determine a child’s ability to participate.”
The Tuition Assistance Program serves children and youth across Central Arkansas and has experienced consistent growth as community need increases. Funding from the Walmart Spark Good Grant will help stabilize the program and expand access for additional participants.
The EMpact One Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the Benton Walmart team for their commitment to strengthening the local community and supporting opportunities that help young people thrive.
