BENTON, AR — On Tuesday, Republican State Representative Tony Furman announced his intentions to seek re-election for the Arkansas State House. Representative Furman is currently serving his third term and has one of the most conservative voting records in the legislature. Furman has consistently voted for and supported life, the Second Amendment, religious liberty, school choice, and foster care.
“When I first announced for office in 2020, I promised the citizens of my district that I would be the Christian conservative choice representing our values at the Arkansas State Capitol,” said Furman. “I have kept that promise with my 100% pro-life and pro-Second Amendment voting record, protecting our land from Communist China, and fighting the woke radical left’s agenda. During these tough economic times, we continued to cut your taxes, increased the homestead tax credit, and eliminated the grocery tax. But there is still more work to be done. It is an honor to serve the people of Saline County, and I am excited to ask the voters of my district to once again entrust me with their support and vote in 2026.”
Along with today’s re-election announcement, Representative Furman is honored to receive the endorsements of Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Attorney General Tim Griffin.
“Tony has been a great advocate for the people of District 82 and Saline County. As State Representative, he has been a strong supporter of empowering parents and students through education freedom, protecting our children from the dangers of social media, and strengthening maternal health in Arkansas. Tony is a true conservative, and people can always depend on him to do what’s right. He has my total support for re-election.” – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders
“I am proud to endorse Tony for re-election because he’s proven himself to be a bold conservative,” said Attorney General Tim Griffin. “Tony has been a staunch ally of criminal justice reform, defended our Second Amendment rights from the attacks of the left, and supported the effort to drive Communist China out of Arkansas. I am asking the voters of District 82 to join me in supporting the re-election campaign of Representative Tony Furman.”
In the 2025 legislative session, Representative Furman sponsored legislation focusing on common-sense conservative values. He sponsored legislation: increasing the homestead property tax credit (Act 330), driving the Chinese Communist Party out of Arkansas from our farmland, institutions of higher education, and prohibiting the use of public funds to purchase promotional items made in China (Act 406, 351, 943), and fighting antisemitism by prohibiting antisemitism in our public institutions of education (Act 721).
Tony Furman is a realtor at Vylla Home in Benton, Arkansas, and is currently the Arkansas State Representative of District 82. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Henderson State University. He and his wife, Lorin, are foster parents for Second Chance Ranch, a group of foster homes serving children in Arkansas’ foster care system. They have three children, two sons and one daughter, and are members of Revolution Church in Bauxite, Arkansas.
