Shepherd, a Grant County native and resident, is a veteran firefighter of nearly 20 years. Shepherd’s public service dates back to his high school days as a volunteer firefighter where he first discovered his passion for helping others.
“I am running for State Representative because I believe in the power of service and want to advocate for the needs of our district,” said Shepherd. “As a conservative Republican, I am committed to protecting life, defending the Second Amendment, keeping violent offenders locked up and off our streets, and lowering the tax burden on our hard-working families.”
As a Christian, husband, and father of two, Shepherd is dedicated to making District 92 the best – and safest – place to live, work, start a business, go to church, and raise a family.
“I will be your voice in the State Legislature, fighting for our shared values and working tirelessly to create a brighter future for our community. Together, we can ensure that every family in our district has the opportunity to thrive.”
Shepherd is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Administration and Management. In addition to his career as a firefighter, Shepherd is also a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker and sits on the Board of Directors for the South Central Arkansas Realtors Association. He and his family live in Sheridan and are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan.
