CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT:
Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Nick Bronni announced Monday that he will run for a full term on the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2026. Justice Bronni was appointed by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in December 2024 to Position 6, and he will seek election to Position 3 in 2026. Before being selected by Governor Sanders to serve on the court, Justice Bronni served as Arkansas’s solicitor general, a position he was appointed to by Attorneys General Leslie Rutledge and Tim Griffin.

Justice Bronni is a conservative, an originalist, and a strong supporter of the rule of law. Describing his judicial philosophy, Justice Bronni said: “I’m a conservative and an originalist. I believe that judges should say what the law is—not what they want it to be. That’s fairer for everyone.”
As an Arkansas Supreme Court Justice, Justice Bronni has been a prolific writer and advocate for clarity because, as he explained, “You shouldn’t need a lawyer to understand the law. That’s why I write decisions in plain English, not lawyer-speak.”
And Justice Bronni stressed the importance of integrity, fairness, and impartiality in selecting a judge, explaining: “I don’t believe in playing favorites. As a justice, I call balls and strikes. I decide cases based on the law.”
As Arkansas’s Solicitor General, Justice Bronni was the Attorney General’s lead litigator. He won the most important cases, including arguing and winning two cases in the United States Supreme Court. He went to court to defend girls’ sports and successfully blocked President Biden’s illegal attempt to rewrite Title IX. He stood with Israel—successfully defending Arkansas’s law against boycotting Israel. He beat back illegal regulations that would have hurt small businesses and ruined family farms. He stood with law enforcement and the victims of crime.
And Justice Bronni won a landmark victory for community pharmacies and patients, prevailing 8-0 at the United States Supreme Court and successfully overturning two lower court rulings that had blocked Arkansas’s law requiring pharmacy-benefit managers to treat community pharmacists and patients fairly.
Describing his record as Solicitor General, Justice Bronni said: “I won case after case for the people of Arkansas at every level—from trial court to the United States Supreme Court. I defeated President Biden’s illegal attempt to deny girls equal access to sports, successfully fought for community pharmacies, and stood with Israel. The government and judges should follow the law, and I’ll always defend the constitutional rights of Arkansans.”
Justice Bronni’s legal work reflects his small-town Arkansas upbringing. He grew up in Ouachita County, where he graduated from Camden Fairview High School. His mother taught school in Calhoun County, and his father worked in the defense industry in Camden. He is the oldest of two children, and his brother, Ryan, lives in Northwest Arkansas. Justice Bronni attended George Washington University and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Michigan, graduating at the top of his class. At Michigan, he was an editor of the law review and met his legal hero Justice Clarence Thomas for the first time.
Today, Justice Bronni lives in Central Arkansas with his wife Sarah and their two young children, Margaret and Frederick. He is a member of the Federalist Society, St. James Methodist Church, and the Arkansas Advisory Committee on Civil Rights. He has also taught law school.
