The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) confirmed Monday that three members of the Martin family of Glen Rose were found dead Saturday, February 10, 2024, at a residence on Pryor Drive. A 15-year-old suspect is charged with crimes as an adult and is being held without bond.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) released updated information Monday afternoon regarding a multiple homicide that occurred on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
According to SCSO, Saline County 911 received a call around 4:00 p.m. reporting a structure fire at a residence on Pryor Drive. When first responders arrived, they discovered one deceased individual with an apparent gunshot wound. The discovery prompted an investigation by the SCSO Criminal Investigation Division.
As investigators continued processing the scene, two additional deceased individuals were located inside the residence, both with apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities later confirmed that three people were killed in the incident.
A juvenile person of interest was questioned on the day of the incident and has since been charged in connection with the deaths. The suspect is 15 years old and is being charged as an adult. He is currently being held without bond.
Charges include Capital Murder, Arson, Abuse of a Corpse, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
The deceased have been identified as Jacob Martin Sr., age 47; Dara Martin, age 53; and Aleah Martin, age 16.
Earlier information indicated that four people may have been involved; however, Captain Joseph Shamlin with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office later clarified that investigators confirmed three deceased individuals at the scene.
The residence is located in the southwest area of Saline County near Glen Rose, just south of the Highway 67 and Interstate 30 interchange (Exit 111).
Sheriff Rodney Wright and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the family and those affected. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those impacted by this tragic incident.”
