Two OPTIONS, here:
#1: STANDARD GOP party "mechanics." DICTATED "choice," meant both as a bellwether, as to candidate vote-getting power, or, Low war chest.
#2: POSSIBLY, a quid pro quo deal that basically forfeits one contest, to gain victory by acquiescence of the opposition party's candidate, or an indication of poor voter support FOR the opposition.
Granted, on the outside looking in, but from YEARS of observance, these are the possibilities I have detected as elements of GOP operating doctrine.

I was very proud of the results for Kime Eubanks. He has worked so hard with little money and resources and I think he will do a great job if he wins the election.
