Parents, if you have a child that can sing, get them singing in an audition video and they might just win a big cash prize in the Spotlight Fight talent show.
Presented by Advanced Alarm Technologies, this singing competition for youth is coming 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th, to the Royal Theatre in historic downtown Benton.
This is for youth, ages 18 and under, it’s free to audition and free if you’re one of the 20 kids picked to compete in the show. There are cash prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250 for the top three winners. Go to SpotlightFight.com for more information and to submit a video audition. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well.
Admission is $5.00 each and all the ticket proceeds will go to non-profit CASA of Saline County, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. Tickets will go on sale soon.
This show is hosted by Pinkie Swear, a partnership between two local business owners, Shelli Poole of MySaline.com and Shelby McFarland of Expose Marketing and Branding Agency.
“My children have been musicians from a young age. They always want to perform live, but the opportunities are limited because of age restrictions in many public places. I knew that there were lots more kids out there that want to show their talent and grow. This is that opportunity.” stated Poole.
These two have organized many events in Saline County and are joining forces for the first time.
“My company works with the CASA team and I’m proud and impressed daily by the way the volunteers help local children who have been put in a situation of abuse or neglect,” stated McFarland.
