Contact: Tricia Power, Bryant Animal Shelter
501-653-0765, tpower@cityofbryant.com

WHO: Canine & Cat Companions, Animal Shelter Support Volunteers

WHAT: Make a Difference in the life of an animal on Make a Difference Day!

WHEN: Saturday, October 23, 2010 – times vary.

WHERE: Bryant Animal Shelter, 25700 Interstate 30 N, Bryant AR 72022, 501-653-0765

WHY: To encourage citizens to get involved by working in their local animal shelters! Together we can save lives!

For two decades, USA Weekend and the HandsOn Network, a business unit of the Points of Light Institute (the same volunteer organization that brought us the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day event earlier this year,) have joined together to sponsor Make a Difference Day, the largest national day of helping others. Make a Difference Day takes place on the 4th Saturday of October each year.

On Saturday, October 23, 2010 Bryant Animal Shelter and the HandsOn network will not only seize the moment to inspire, equip and mobilize corporations, nonprofit organizations, families and individuals to improve their communities, but also engage them to get HandsOn throughout the year!

I make a difference every day. I feed the Thundering Herd, the cats, and the dog that my wife owns every day.
