Saline County Sheriff Candidate Announces Technology Plan
Alexander , AR – James Ward, Republican candidate for Saline County Sheriff, announced the implementation of D.I.R.T. (Danger In Real Time), a high tech option for tracking crimes as they occur. If elected, Ward will execute the use of new technology in the County’s largest division. His proposed D.I.R.T. program will alert residents of criminal activity in their neighborhood if they sign up to receive text messages on their cell phones. Under the plan users can send tips on crimes to the Sheriff’s department inserting technology at a new level.
“The use of technology is a cost effective way to fight crime,” said Ward. “I have used similar technology in my campaign over the last six months and have a few thousand citizens logged in that I can communicate with instantly about what’s going on in my campaign,” Ward continued. “Drug activity and burglaries have increased in Saline County and with the use of today’s technology we can provide a tool for the exchange of information which may be helpful in solving crimes,” he said.
Under Ward’s administration, web-based technology will also be used to help citizens interact with the Sheriff’s Department for:
“I would like to see the D.I.R.T. program introduced in our schools to enable kids a venue for anonymous communication on important issues like drug activity, gang violence, predators and abuse,” Ward said. “Kids love technology and if it is offered, and they are educated, they will use it,” he said.
Saline County ’s property crime rate is significantly higher than the national average and drug related arrests have dropped under the current Sheriff. D.I.R.T. is one of the initiatives Ward will implement to improve the management of the Sheriff’s Department. To receive updates on the James Ward for Sheriff Campaign, text JAMES WARD to 90210.

Comment by Peter Glenn on May 8, 2012 at 10:46pm I like this technology plan. I think more people should be reading about this great idea. Seems some people just want to criticize James Ward and not give him credit for his ideas and plans. I would like to see his tech plan put into action by Mr. Ward. Take time to read it!
Comment by WorriedNSaline on May 6, 2012 at 8:49am Sounds like a solid plan. Hope we all get the chance to use it.
Comment by Duck Bill on May 5, 2012 at 3:34pm damn people, this argument can be resolved quick. Shelli, can you please post the row from the article above and show everybody who last modified by, may need to join from the table that includes the users table to show the user that modify the row. That should take a minute to write the query and display the results and resolve any conspiracy.

Comment by Sam Turkeyhunter Jones on May 5, 2012 at 2:21pm This post was deleted by the Mysaline webmaster or moderators. Google has been kind enough to release it via webcache. James Ward has assured me he did not delete this post.
This is the first candidate in this election season to step into the ring and field questions from the voters. He has been denied the freedoms to speak to the voters on Mysaline because his blog was deleted. Go James Ward.
