Yes, I'm baaaaaaack with more info on the Smiling Boy, this time catching you folks up on how this dude slammed into another motorist, didn't have no insurance at all, got cited for it, threatened the officer who ticketed him (calling it "political"), then -- get a load of this -- tried to get the insurance agent to back date a policy for him and get him off the hook (we call that "fraud" around these parts!)

Yeah, that's what you want, ain't it?  A guy who will throw the book at you if you have an accident without current insurance but if it happens to him, oh NOOOOO, he threatens the cop who brings the citation and goes to the agent for a little bit of insurance hanky-panky!

Let's start at the top, kiddos, here ya go.  First up, the news y'all love to hate, but hey, you gotta find out about it somehow, right?  Here it was, like it was yesterday:

This Smiling Boy is just the gift that keeps on giving, ain't he?

Guess we need to take a peek at those tickets and that accident report now, don't we?

Man!  And just when you think it can get as bad as it can get, then the boy starts threatening the officer that comes to cite him for the offense.  Worst is, he and a bunch of the other boys, including Casady (who was comin' down on the officer, calling it "political" and comin' off a little threatening in his own way), were trying to keep from tagging the Smiling Boy with a FELONY, but did he appreciate it?  Hell no.  He got mouthy and nasty about it.  Read up....

I still ain't done!  Now I got the real dirt, got it second hand but it's reliable stuff from one of my home boys so you guys can make your own phone calls and check out the story.....but seems that Ward made a little call to his agent with State Farm, a good dude named Matthew Reginelli in Bryant to see if he could get his boy Matt to cut him some slack and back date an insurance policy for him.

What everybody needs to know is that Matthew Reginelli is a STAND UP COOL DUDE, one of the real good guys, a real man and somebody who doesn't take this kind of crap.  He stood up to the Smiling Boy and told him that in no uncertain terms would he violate the law like that or commit insurance fraud that way.  He took nothing from Ward, and gave him nothing in return.

GO GIVE THIS DUDE YOUR INSURANCE BUSINESS!!  Matthew Reginelli is an honest, good guy, and if you can trust him to stand up to a wack-job like Ward, you can trust him with anything.

Any questions left, kiddos?  The Smiling Boy is NOT somebody you want for a Sheriff!!!!  Get it!!!!

Further looking over the documents proves just exactly that this was political.  The amended report states that Cassady told the investigative officer, who told Corp. Marable (familiar name recently seen), that they were engaging in politics and not police work.  The SCSO went forth with the witch hunt even after being advised by Cassady not to. To sum that up for you if your a little slow.  Posting this reflects worse on Pennington then on Ward and the Courier joined right in.  Wonder if Burks considered noting when writing his story that the Prosecuting Attorney had made that recommendation?

Undertaker (Rick),

I think you need to understand how much harm your actions and rhetoric both on this site and at the polling site you are doing to the Pennington campaign and the Republican Party as a whole.

On yesterday I had made my choices with exception of the Sheriffs race when I arrived at the polling site on Hwy. 5  (church) .

I first proceeded to the Pennington camp to asked some questions and share some concerns with the representatives of his campaign. I was quickly becoming impressed with the conversation when you stepped up to give your unsolicited opinion.( I thought you were there representing a different campaign).

During this conversation my attention was diverted to a young woman carrying a Pennington sign (later identified as Penningtons daughter) who was loudly screaming vulgarities at the women of the Ward campaign in the presence of an elderly couple that was talking to them.

The actions of this woman was unprovoked and I must say unprofessional . . .  embarassing and shook me to the core of decency.

Furthermore your response to it ... laughing and encouraging her on was repulsive.

In closing, my advice to anyone who is not decided on the merits of any canidate in any race take the time to  be informed go out and seek the answers to your questions and concerns, you may be amazed at how easy your choice is after all.

Lynda, maybe you can ask your husband if David Pierce was treated differently than others, for instance was he allowed to sit down in the sheriffs office, post his bond, and slip out the back door. This question needs to be answered by law enforcement. Then they need to take a close look at themselves.

As to your other comment about the Judicial, you write:  Our counties Judicial system is where the largest cluster of the "good ole boys" wheel and deal.  All of the events after the arrest are in the hands of the courts

So what do you say about Ken and Stephanie Casady? My opinion is clear on this matter, having a sitting Judge married to the county prosecutor will not instill faith in our justice system.

Can anyone confirm Lynda's comment that those who are arrested are allowed to bond out before the paperwork is done? And if so, why is this allowed to occur?

I honestly don't know...which is why I was asking. I thought maybe you did since you brought it up.

Why don't ya tell me DAP?

Do you know why they are allowed to bond out before the paperwork is done?

oh yea Publius, I don't have a clue what your complaint is regarding the handling of the case of the murdered men, or about David Pierce.  That ruling ticked me off not as bad as the victims that he was freed and told to live outside of Arkansas.  Thats the Judicial system.  I would have him tatooed on his forhead what he is guilty of and put him in open population.  Let him feel what it's like to be a victim!

And to Publius, This is the most frustrating subject for all the Sheriffs' Dept.Much of the problem is that our J.  The Police, from benton, Bryant, Haskell, TRaskwood, And the Sheriffs office can arrest 10 Meth Cooks a day, and they are bonded out before their paperwork done.  Then these fools don't show for court, have a Failure to Appear charge, and then....the cycle starts again.  Our counties Judicial system is where the largest cluster of the "good ole boys" wheel and deal.  All of the events after the arrest are in the hands of the courts.    Sure would love for you and the rest of the judgemental fools would sign up to be a reserve, or better yet, spend 12 weeks in bootcamp and training to be a real officer.  Oh by the way, could you pass that on to your buddy James.  I can get him the phone # if he is interested in learning about law enforcement.
