Arrests in Benton After Threatening With Gun
ADDENDUM: This story originally said the incident happened at Denton's Trotline. The owner disputes this in a statement in the comments.
Benton Police officers charged two men after a disturbance in Benton on "old" Military Road.
Kenneth Morgan, age 42, was changed with Aggravated Assault after allegedly threatening people with bodily harm and displaying a pistol toward them. No shots were fired, but a pistol was found on Morgan.
Darren Sellars, age 28, was charged with Public Intoxication and Obstruction of a Governmental Operation.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Benton Police Department at 778-1171 or 315-TIPS. Individuals also may send an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274637) with the keyword BNPD in the body of the text or go to www.crimereports.com and submit a tip there.

to Shelli MySaline-com Russell10 minutes ago ·In response to the media story that is out today....This DID NOT HAPPEN INSIDE OR ON DENTON'S PROPERTY !! Yes the 2 guys that had the gun pulled on them were customers but IT DID NOT HAPPEN HERE !! Denton's is a safe place to come & we always have a uniformed deputy on duty inside !
