My dear mommy received the following email from Chris Tipton regarding the possibility of some new apartments within the city limits of Bryant. Read up and discuss.

The city council will be discussing the issue of more apartments in Bryant. Specifically in Midtown which is north of Hwy 5 and Reynolds. Please call or email your alderperson with your views before tomorrow afternoons meeting which is to begin at 4 pm. Speaking as a former alderman it is imperative to know the views of the citizens before casting a vote. Some of you on this list are not voters of Bryant, but you have friends that are voters so please forward the information on to them so that your elected officials will know where you stand. I am against them.
No matter where you stand on this issue please let your voice be heard!

When a complex doesn't get enough interest from seniors they have to consider expanding to allow different types of tenants. There are townhomes on Springhill that use to be that way. But a few years ago their resident counts dropped so they began allowing anyone to move in. It's just part of the real estate struggle.

NO, NO AND NO. THE UNITS THAT ARE THERE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HOUSING FOR SENIORS. MY HUSBAND SAID THAT NOW ANYONE COULD RENT THEM - I DON'T THINK THAT IS RIGHT FOR THEM TO CHANGE IT. I agree very much with Thelma Poole that they should be in a commercial zone

If new apartments go up, i would like to see them in more commercial areas like on the freeway access road.
