When it's time for you to take this new office (or return to your same office) and go to work, please put behind you all the ill feelings and nastiness that was generated during the campaign and just get to work.
There's so much to do out there right now.
I'm really embarrassed that I'm handing my young adult children into a world that is in such a mess. The voters have hired you to fix it. We're counting you. All of us are counting on you. Because in the end, regardless of color, creed, social position, gender preference, or gender, we all have the same basic needs. We're all just people and need a good place to work, raise families and live.
You'll have our support as long as you work hard and do your best.
Please don't screw it up.
