In 1987, I was around 10 years old when this horrific crime happened. I was very sheltered but heard a lot about it from my brother and his friends. It was later in my adulthood that I learned the truth of what happened.
Mrs. Linda Ives has worked hard to bring those to justice that had brutally murdered her son Kevin Ives and his best friend Don Henry.

It was 1987 that Mrs. Ives learned about the death of her son. I cannot imagine how she felt, nor do I want too.

I know I say "I can't imagine" but every parent has that worry. Let me explain what mean....
You just saw your son recently and he was well, happy, and full of life. Then you received the worst news about your son's death.
Denial sets in, this couldn't be possible. It's a mistake....no way could your child be dead.
You loose your breath and your emotions overcome you. No one has the right words to say that will take this pain away.

It's something I hope to never endure but we have no control over the future. We can only pray.

Throughout the years; I have seen, heard, and read about Mrs. Ives fighting for answers to why her child was no longer here. No longer in her arms. Mrs. Linda Ives is one of the bravest moms that I know to do what she did and what she does today.
