Let's start with Casady vs. Standridge: In this race it is important to also note the obvious powers that be at work.  Looks like she is in bed with Pennington and his endorsement pals or the Prosecutor which is it? Or is it all of the above?  Mrs. Casady's husband is the prosecutor that will be a part of every case before her with exception to small claims civil cases which is the least amount of her case load.  Every time you get a speeding ticket and want to chalenge it in court...I hope you were never enemies with the prosecutor.  Every lagitament attorney will ask for special prosecution costing taxpayers more money.  The taxpayer already pays for this service with the elected prosecutor so why should they be required to pay more because they decided to take over our entire justice system.  Why do they all need each other to get elected/re-elected to office?  Surely the public can see the problems that are in the brew here. If not let me paint the picture for you:

Cruze made a good point.  I too honor the LEOs who humbly serve with honor.  But what I've seen is a lot of good old boy "I'll endorse you, if you endorse me" (favors).  They have been more concerned with getting elected and re-elected than concerns for the citizens.  Stephanie Casady is endorsed by all the city police chiefs, the city police chiefs endorse the current sheriff, who in turn has a lot of authority over them.  I read a lot of info that several people put on here, and it looks like most of those actions have violated federal law according to Pilot.  It is time for a change and time to let new candidates serve.

Since you purport to speak for and represent all the agencies and community leaders in Saline County and the State of Akansas (aren't promotions great !) are you saying out loud on a public forum that they will refuse to work with James Ward as the elected sheriff ?

Are you kidding me? Now that you have put that into writing (i've already made copies) it only proves the theory of the "Good Ole Boys" rule is in fact alive and thriving.

Every time you guys say something it reminds the citizens of the days and times of the Steed administration and the corruption that ran rampant from the Sheriff's office to the Prosecutors office and down the street and up the courthouse steps.

Do you guys understand that todays citizens and especially the ones who lived thru it are screaming at the top of their lungs for CHANGE, because they NEVER want it that way again in THEIR county ?

The Sheriff totally missed the mark on his campaign strategy he should have been out listening to the concerns of the citizens giving them the answers or at least promising to find the answers and seek out a solution, not out bashing people and engaging in dirty politics.

The good citizens of Saline County are not unreasonable folks but they do expect the people they elect to public office to respond to them, to uphold and take serious their oath of office.

Now the important stuff,

May God Bless the Law Enforcement Officers who selflessly gave the ultimate price in the line of duty and for those whom they humbly served with honor I salute you!

This week was National Police Memorial Week to honor those officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. A local event with the Saline County multi-jurisdictional honor guard were held on Monday night at the courthouse.

Well, guess who showed up five minutes before it was over?? Mr Ward and EJ Harris. Both had a very disheveled appearance and looked like they had slept in their shirts. Both left immediately afterwards without speaking to hardly anyone there. Not exactly very respectful towards officers he wants to work with as sheriff, and not very convincing that he has s lot of officer support. Maybe support from former officers like those mentioned in the FOP endorsement. Some might say this shows he's a true outsider that will turn things around, but I would beg to differ if he doesn't have the respect of those around him. Especially since there were also members of the clergy present who weren't even acknowledged by him.

Not much of a command leadership presence demonstration by him

This is a major concern for future relationships with other agencies and community leaders in Saline County.

This is my humble opinion.

Here's food for thought and a prediction two short years down the road (one year till the start of PUBLIC campaigning)

1. Attorney General Dustin McDaniel will run for Govenor.

2. Prosecutor Ken Cassidy will run for Attorney General.

3. Judge Stephaine Cassidy will run for Prosecuting Attorney.

4. Bruce Pennington after endorsing them all will still be trying to convince us all he is a conservative Republican.

Do I need to go on ?

Can anyone say "COOP" . . . " Back room deals ?

If you don't see the writing on the wall . . . there it is plain and simple!  "The Good Ole Boy's"

YOU have the power to stop it on Tuesday!   Vote for James Ward, Brent Standridge, Myka Bono-Sample and send them all packing .
