Mr. Pennington needs just one more term to get a full retirement from the citizens of Saline County. What has he done to earn a continued paycheck on the backs of the taxpayer?
* Political appointments to the reserve program by the Sheriff include; Dennis Milligan, Mark Kizer, Alan Dabbs, Tom Lish, Rick Meyer, Patrick Rhodes...seems like I am missing someone here.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY? NO MORE MONEY FROM US TAXPAYERS SIR...IT ALL ENDS THIS TUESDAY MAY 22ND IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY.

Comment by John M Cooper on May 20, 2012 at 9:30pm We are not talking about replaceing deputies that have quit or been fired causing an 80% turnover rate. We are talking about a brand new hire that is an addition to the department. Out with the turncoat RINO and in with the new. James Ward a new Sheriff for a safer tomorrow!!!
Comment by Katee Hart on May 20, 2012 at 9:30pm Don't waste your time Heather!! He can't back up his accusations!! Typical!

Your very weak attempt to twist my words is amusing. The last sentence of the comment was and I repeat: This is my humble opinion.
48 hours 45 mins till your little world will crumble Cruse. You feabile attempt at a meaningful conversation will disapper in to the wide open space of the intranet.
Have a good night sir.
Mr. Cooper,
Chris on here seems to think those SUVs were purchased with a grant. Looks to me that we purchased these items with taxpayer money..is this correct?...not that a grant is not our money either though. I know it cost more to outfit those Tahoes with the equipment and lockout boxes they need so someone will not steal the weapons out the back. Do you have a cost on how much it cost to outfit those vehicles compared to the Chargers? (Which we already had the cages and equipment for?)
Comment by Cruze on May 20, 2012 at 6:41pm Hutto,
Since you purport to speak for and represent all the agencies and community leaders in Saline County and the State of Akansas (aren't promotions great !) are you saying out loud on a public forum that they will refuse to work with James Ward as the elected sheriff ?
Are you kidding me? Now that you have put that into writing (i've already made copies) it only proves the theory of the "Good Ole Boys" rule is in fact alive and thriving.
Every time you guys say something it reminds the citizens of the days and times of the Steed administration and the corruption that ran rampant from the Sheriff's office to the Prosecutors office and down the street and up the courthouse steps.
Do you guys understand that todays citizens and especially the ones who lived thru it are screaming at the top of their lungs for CHANGE, because they NEVER want it that way again in THEIR county ?
The Sheriff totally missed the mark on his campaign strategy he should have been out listening to the concerns of the citizens giving them the answers or at least promising to find the answers and seek out a solution, not out bashing people and engaging in dirty politics.
The good citizens of Saline County are not unreasonable folks but they do expect the people they elect to public office to respond to them, to uphold and take serious their oath of office.
Now the important stuff,
May God Bless the Law Enforcement Officers who selflessly gave the ultimate price in the line of duty and for those whom they humbly served with honor I salute you!
