Mr. Hutto,

You should have got a raise, County turnback increased by 30%. The budget for the Sheriffs offices increased by over 2 million, so why didnt the sheriff give you a raise? Is he waiting for you guys to campaign for him? Then will you get your raise?

I have been to your business when you had it...and you were very smug yourself. I did not even want to come back because of your smugness. In fact you have proved what i thought about you by your comments on here.

I know how to read John, do not be smug with me.  I am well educated and have done very well in the business world and do not need your sarcastic attitude. 

Your own statement below just justified my comment in the past.  Thank you.  Money was approprated from the county general fund for the budgeted year.  Bruce used what was needed and then returned the rest.  No waste but a generous return for others to use from this fund.  The QC loved this as this has not been the case in many many years.

 

We (Saline County) are just a few counties in the entire State which does not charge a tax on the Genreal fund.  This County is very proud of that.  Yes, we could ask for a tax increase to provide more vehicles, officers, gas, repairs and etc...but we do not.  Should the county  decide to increase fines on tickets written----so be it.  Milk goes up, bread goes up why shouldn't tickets?  By the way John,since you are so quick to say "I pay your salary....Well WE need a raise.

And if you are listening to inmates who were in the jail for your comments concerning the jail enviroment.. well no comment on that one.

Instead of flapping your gums why don't you go to the jail on Monday and take a tour? Ask for Lt. Birdsong to show you around and show you the changes that have been made.  Get 1st hand information and not heresay information. 

No one refused Ward a paid polictical ad.  More mirrors and smoke.

And on a final note, John please provide me the incident number form your alleged burglary taken by phone.  What month/year?  I really want to research that one for the public.

Mr. Cooper, do not take everything James Ward tells you for fact.  He was fronted the money for his company by a relative and I assure you his donations are a tax write off.  Still no answer about his military background on his Facebook page.  I wonder if it's because he was never active duty, which his video portrays.

i'm not dissapointed in Ward, i'm dissapointed ion the courier, my friend who works for the Ward campaign told me that biased wholly owned replacement for TP refused a political campaign ad , prepaid, and scheduled at the last minute. Can any one say if this is true? how about you Matt Burks?

Alot of people will be disappointed if Ward takes office. Hes already been a disappointment to many on how he runs his campaign. Hes acts like a 2 year old when he looses a voter. Hes nothing!

I just posted the treasurers report to prove the money is a lie sir.  The money in question was no different than an invoice that went out to the state of Arkansas and the Feds.  The check was sent in and placed into county general fund.  This has always been the case and it never touches the Sheriffs hands to turn back nor does he have the option to spend it.  The same treasurers report shows all budgeted money was spent and then gets an additional 1.4 Million in additional appropreations from the county general fund meaning the jail needed more money at the end of the year to pay the bills.  You need to learn how to read...I have provided the proof.  If you think this is wrong then just give me a print out showing the jail budget vs. expense report for last year and show us all where he turned back 639,000.00.  Also he just asked for extra fine money on every traffic ticket written because he needed more money in the jail.

Please tell us all how much since it makes to turn money back (didn't happen) then raise fines because you need more?  Lets see here is the news report from fox 16 dated 12/9/2011 (The same year he supposedly turned back $639,000.00 from the jail to the county general fund):

BENTON, AR - By early 2012, if you get caught speeding in Saline County, $20 could be added to your fine. Corporal Brian Cooper with the Saline County Sheriff's department sees at least 100 people breaking the speed limit for each hour he's out on patrol. That's exactly why the Saline County Quorum Court is considering increasing traffic fines by $20 to bring more revenue into the county. Those $20 would go directly to the Saline County Jail's operating budget. Sheriff Bruce Pennington says the jail will take every penny he can get his hands on. He's already pushing the inmates to help save on operating costs.

Now how stupid does your your claim look sir?  Please share with us all how you plan to combat this one.

Mr. Hutto, Ive seen the Narcotics reports and I can say that the cash siezed when Phil Mask was in office totaled between 250,000.00 & 300,000.00 annually but Pennington Under 9,000.00.  Scan in the narc report from 2007 then scan in the Narc report from 2011 and lets compare.  Let's not look at a pic of Pennington standing with a bust that the FOP got.  It is all about numbers you see just the facts.
