Shannon Hills Children May Finally Be Able to Switch from PCSSD to Bryant Schools

If you live in Shannon Hills and you have children, you're probably aware that a boundary between Bryant School District (BSD) and Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) runs right through town, even though Shannon Hills is in Saline County. Last night at the Bryant School Board meeting, it was decided that Paron Elementary will for sure close its…

Paron Elementary School Looks at Closing Doors

We can all agree that in the last two millage elections for Bryant School District (2014 & 2015), there have been some passionate proponents and then there were people just as passionate the side of opposition. I think we can all agree that some things that the twice-failed millage would have paid for were necessary improvements. But then some said there was a lot of fringe tacked on and others didn't want to pay more taxes regardless of where the money went. …

Are you running for school board?

Many of us have figured out in the past few years just how powerful a school board can be. It's not like the Booster Club or the Parent Teacher Organization where they raise a little money and maybe spend it on a little project.
