According to Saline County Clerk, Doug Curtis, Arkansans can access their voter information with an online tool at www.voterview.org. Created by Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin, the website gives users information based on their political party, polling location, and voting districts. If you live in Shannon Hills and you have children, you're probably aware that a boundary between Bryant School District (BSD) and Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) runs right through town, even though Shannon Hills is in Saline County. Shannon Hills Mayor Mike Kemp has been working to change that, so that all the children in Shannon Hills will be zoned for Bryant Schools. We can all agree that in the last two millage elections for Bryant School District (2014 & 2015), there have been some passionate proponents and then there were people just as passionate the side of opposition. I think we can all agree that some things that the twice-failed millage would have paid for were necessary improvements. But then some said there was a lot of fringe tacked on and others didn't want to pay more taxes regardless of where the money went. …Continue
